"Fortunate Son"-Creedence Clearwater Revival
November 1st has always been my oldest brothers favorite date. I am not really sure why but it is a cool date. I spent this whole summer with him in Hawaii and we listened to this song what feels like every day. It is an awesome song with a lot of emotion and history tied to it. It was written during the Vietnam war and talks about how he is not fortunate and will have to go fight. It is used patriotically which is funny because it is actually protesting a lot about America. Creedence Clearwater Revival are an awesome band with a lot of good music. This song is no exception. I just love this song because I think of driving around in my brothers car and working in the Taco truck with him. This song is also a meme which is pretty funny. I think that makes the song even better because it has an element of humor to our generation. This song embodies so much frustration and fighting spirit I think everyone feels. It is especially present in young guys. The guitar settings are so crisp and iconic in this song. This is one of those songs I can listen to on repeat forever and not get tired of it.
